- Have a valid passport valid for more than 6 years
- No criminal or immigration-related convictions.

- Provide proof of sufficient resources to cover the costs of your stay. The amount of money will depend on the purpose of your visit, how long you plan to stay and whether you will be staying in a hotel or with friends or family.
- Explain the purpose of your visit and ensure that you will not be working in Canada during your stay.
- Proof of a business relationship with a company in Canada or that you have been invited to a conference or training.
- If you do not meet the minimum requirements, your visa will most likely be refused. However, you may also be refused a visa for security or health reasons.
